Each person must burn a CD with "x" (*) tracks on it from the hosts's MP3 collection. You have at most 15 minutes to choose and burn your disk (you can extend this if you have a slow CD burner but you're better off dropping the number of tracks)
All tracks must be less than 10 minutes each. (Nothing from Tales from Topographic Oceans then...)
You must dictate three requisites of the compilation such as:
(These criteria are particularly well suited to Neils MP3 collection as there is a large amount of Queen and not many female singers. We all have large amounts of cover versions so that one should be a staple...)
Failing to meet these criteria requires the offender to take three extra shots of alcohol for each missing requirement. It would be stupid to miss a requirement!
One track will be listened to from each CD in turn, the participants will vote on "the best" song on each round.
You may not vote for your own choice.
If you choose a song from the same album as another person you both have to take an extra shot of alcohol.
If you choose exactly the same song as another person you both have to take an extra three shots of alcohol. (Yes this happened. Both Neil & I chose "The Web")
If you're stupid enough to put the same song twice on your own CD then you have to take an extra three shots of alcohol. (Yes this happened - Neil likes The Web so much he included it twice on his CD)
The loser of each round takes an extra shot of alcohol.
At the end of the CDs, tot-up the winners of each round. Subtract one for any and each penalty the person had to apply. The winner is the one with the biggest point. Unless everyone agrees differently, of course.
If you have more people then drop the number of tracks; you may want to drop the time limit per song, but we'd hate to have to exclude The Web or Bohemian Rhapsody...
(*) A good number is somewhere between 11 to 16
