(Roundabouts - *) For Those Who Don't Know
Milton Keynes is the roundabout capital of the world. You can't drive 300 yards without a roundabout. Now, as the roads in MK are national-speed-limit (60mph for single-carriageway and 70mph for dual-carriageway) this means you learn how to do roundabouts at speed. Learning how to do roundabouts at speed means that you wear out the tyres on *one side* of your car before the other! So if you see a car with nearly bald tyres on one side and good tread on the other - it's a native Milton Keyneser.
MK is built on a grid. East-West roads ("Ways") called H1, H2 through to H11 and North-South roads ("Streets") called V1, V2 through to V11. At each junction (bar a few in the city centre) there is a roundabout. All these roads (bar a few in the city centre) are national-speed-limit roads. I'll explain where we put the pedestrians at a later date.
What I need are the electricity MPAN number, which is thing on a bill like this :
S 11 111 111 11 1111 1111 11 And the gas MPRN which is probably a ten digit number... "8888888888"
